Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition includes the Clarkson Eyecare, EyeCare Associates, EyeCare Center, Nationwide Vision, and The Eye Doctors brands. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to required regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to MyEyeDr., the acquisition is intended to expand access to eye care across additional communities while supporting continued investment in doctors, associates, and patient care. The larger organization is also expected to provide opportunities to share clinical and operational best practices across its network.

“MyEyeDr. was founded 25 years ago to combine industry-leading optometric eye care with world-class products and convenient support services,” Sue Downes, co-founder and CEO of MyEyeDr., said in a statement. “We have created a one-of-a-kind patient experience, a doctor-led service model that patients and communities trust and a scalable practice management platform that simplifies the insurance process.”

Ms. Downes said the transaction represents a continuation of MyEyeDr.'s growth across the United States and reinforces the company's focus on expanding access to care for patients with varying vision, health, and financial needs.

EyeCare Partners CEO Chris Throckmorton described the combination as an opportunity to expand neighborhood-based optometric care while supporting the future growth of EyeCare Partners' optometry business.

“We went to great lengths to find the ideal partner for our optometry business, with a commitment to clinical excellence and high-quality patient care being a key requirement,” Mr. Throckmorton said. “MyEyeDr. will build on the strength of the business and support its next phase of growth.”

MyEyeDr. said the expanded organization will continue to emphasize personalized care delivered by community-based doctors and eye care teams. The company also expects the transaction to strengthen its ability to invest in clinical research and develop centers of excellence focused on common eye diseases.
