Lenstec UK and Voptica announced a strategic partnership to expand access to Voptica’s complete range of ArtIOLs for the UK. Through this collaboration, Voptica’s portfolio of ArtIOLs will now be available to ophthalmologists and patients across the UK via Lenstec UK’s established distribution network. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

According to a joint news release, by combining Voptica’s expertise in optical research, adaptive optics, and IOL innovation, with Lenstec UK’s strong local presence, clinical support infrastructure, and longstanding reputation for customer service, the collaboration aims to ensure reliable product availability, responsive logistics, and comprehensive educational support for surgeons and clinical teams.

The introduction of ArtIOLs provides UK ophthalmologists with access to lenses featuring innovative inverted meniscus optics, designed to offer a high level of spectacle independence while minimizing photic phenomena. The lenses are engineered with the goal of replicating key optical characteristics of the natural crystalline lens, with a particular focus on optimizing peripheral visual performance.

Under the terms of the agreement, Lenstec UK will be responsible for the distribution, logistics, and local market support of Voptica’s ArtIOLs throughout the UK.
