Harrow plans to expand the platform’s features and services to further simplify medication access and practice workflows
Harrow announced the launch of HarrowRx, a prescribing and pharmacy access platform designed to simplify how eyecare professionals prescribe the company’s ophthalmic medications and connect patients with fulfillment and affordability services.
Powered by pharmacy partner PhilRx, HarrowRx allows clinicians to prescribe Harrow’s entire branded portfolio through a single destination within their existing electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The platform coordinates prescription routing, fulfillment, and applicable patient-support programs without requiring separate prescribing software or additional logins.
HarrowRx is a licensed pharmacy registered on the Surescripts network and can be located in connected EMR pharmacy directories by searching its name, NCPDP ID (3694886), or NPI (1578473732).
The platform supports prescription-benefit medications through PhilRx pharmacy operations, while physician-administered, buy-and-bill products are directed to their respective distributors. Eligible patients may also receive assistance with benefits verification, insurance authorizations, and available savings programs.
According to Harrow, the platform addresses administrative challenges associated with navigating multiple specialty pharmacies, fulfillment channels, and manufacturer assistance programs.
“When I visit with customers, I consistently hear the same frustrations: figuring out which specialty pharmacy or hub handles each product, remembering to complete prior authorization forms, and making sure patients have access to every available manufacturer savings program,” said Mark L. Baum, Chief Executive Officer of Harrow. “We created HarrowRx to take that complexity off their plates and build upon the trust that our customers have in the Harrow brand."
Prescribers can begin using HarrowRx by selecting the pharmacy within a connected EMR. If HarrowRx does not appear in their EMR’s pharmacy finder, prescribers can also send prescriptions to HarrowRx by phone at 855-977-0975 or by fax at 888-975-0603. For questions and additional support, practices can contact clinical support at 855-977-0975 or their Harrow account representative.
