Eaglet Eye, a provider of profilometry-driven specialty lens fitting, announced a new strategic partnership with Ovitz to bring the xwave aberrometer to the European market.

According to Eaglet Eye, scleral lens fitting has traditionally posed two major challenges for clinicians: achieving a stable, rotationally aligned lens fit and effectively addressing higher-order aberrations (HOAs). By combining Eaglet Eye’s Eye Surface Profiler (ESP) with the Ovitz xwave aberrometer, practitioners now have access to a comprehensive, integrated solution designed to address both challenges.

The combined workflow aims to deliver full anterior surface profilometry, enabling an exact, centered, and rotationally stable lens fit, alongside wavefront-based HOA correction for sharper, more customized optics. Together, these technologies create a fully data-driven pathway to personalized, wavefront-corrected scleral lenses. The lenses are now available through select European laboratories, allowing practitioners to offer a new standard of vision quality and patient comfort.

“Since OVITZ xwave became available in the US, we’ve seen increasing interest from European practitioners and patients seeking access to our HOA-correcting solutions,” said Felix Kim, founder of Ovitz. “Our collaboration with Eaglet Eye now enables us to support that growing demand with a unified, data-driven workflow for personalized scleral lens fitting.”
