Ali Tafreshi has been named President and CEO of Topcon Healthcare. 

Having worked in eye care for over 20 years, Mr. Tafreshi has experience in innovation and product development. He transitioned from academia to industry when he joined Heidelberg Engineering, where he had several roles, including Global Head/VP of Product Management and Clinical Affairs. He most recently served as Topcon Healthcare’s Chief Officer of Strategy, Innovation, and Clinical Development. In that role, he was responsible for the strategy to drive digital health solutions using Harmony.

“I’m honored to take on this role and look forward to expanding the application of oculomics; using the eye to determine eye and systemic health status. We call this strategy, “Healthcare from the Eye,” Mr. Tafreshi said in a company news release.
