Prism Vision Group has acquired Spectrum Vision Partners, a practice administrative services organization supporting more than 150 independent eye care providers across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Prism’s network of ophthalmology and retina practices. Headquartered on Long Island, New York, Spectrum supports 58 ophthalmology sites of care and 5 ambulatory surgery centers across New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
“The physicians supported by Spectrum Vision Partners are nationally recognized, deeply engaged in advancing the field of ophthalmology, and committed to delivering exceptional care to patients,” said Steven Madreperla, MD, PhD, chief executive officer of Prism Vision Group.
Eric Donnenfeld, MD, and Richard Sturm, MD, managing partners of Spectrum Vision Partners, said the affiliation reflects shared priorities involving clinical quality, physician leadership, and long-term sustainability.
Under the agreement, Spectrum-supported practices will retain physician-led governance while gaining access to Prism’s operational infrastructure, research capabilities, and care coordination resources. The acquisition is also expected to create opportunities to expand retina services, improve ambulatory surgery center utilization, and increase patient access to therapies and clinical trials.
Prism provides administrative and business support to ophthalmology and retina practices, with access to infrastructure and resources through McKesson Corporation.
