Corcoran Consulting Group (CCG) and Conclusn have entered an agreement to create a software application that provides proprietary utilization benchmarks for ophthalmic procedures. The application is designed to help practice managers identify missed revenue opportunities and potential compliance risks. Compatible with common practice management systems and updated periodically, the analytics software will provide data ophthalmologists, optometrists, and allied personnel need to optimize their businesses, according to a Conclusn news release.
“Conclusn has served eye care practices for about 6 years and clients frequently ask for benchmarking analytics,” Michael Isaac, Conclusn CEO, said in the news release. “Entering into this partnership with Corcoran Consulting Group will provide the trusted information practices need to operate their businesses safely and profitably in this complex and volatile environment. We are excited to work with Kevin Corcoran and the CCG team to realize this important goal.”
“Utilization benchmarks serve as objective reference points for practice patterns and, while not prescriptive, they are indicative of typical behavior for ophthalmologists and optometrists,” says Kevin J. Corcoran, COE, CPC, CPMA, FNAO, President, Corcoran Consulting Group. “Outliers, whether lower or higher than the benchmarks, deserve investigation yet few physicians or managers can recognize them. Working with Conclusn, CCG can help distribute this valuable information to clients in a customized manner,” he added.
