Medmont International launched its next generation corneal topographer, the medmont meridia Advanced Topographer, in North America, Australia, and New Zealand.

The medmont meridia extends E300’s topography performance by combining it with premium anterior and fluorescein imaging and videos, and an array of dry eye evaluation options, including detailed meibography.

“We are thrilled to carry forward our legacy of high-performance corneal topography in concert with new imaging choices that build on Medmont’s established excellence for our partners, practitioners and patients,” Bob Heavyside, President at Medmont, said in a company news release. “The medmont meridia empowers clinicians to make easier and better interpretations of ocular conditions, specialty contact lens fittings, and now dry eye evaluations that are designed to encourage quick and confident decisions.”

The medmont meridia is a single platform that offers two models—Classic and Professional. The versatile application choices support standardization by optimizing space and equipment needs, enabling adaptable workflows to fit a range of approaches. Medmont Studio 7 software, that comes with medmont meridia | Professional, includes a choice of grading scales and interactive reports designed to encourage patient engagement, enhancing compliance and retention throughout the continuum of care.

“Always precise, and with better topography, Medmont exceeds expectations on quality and depth of field with beautiful clear images I can count on,” said Aaron Wolf, OD, of the Austin Optometry Group. “With the new additions of color anterior and fluorescein images and videos, plus customizable dry eye programs, this is an excellent device that provides many features that would normally require multiple machines. Exceptional. It has allowed me to lower my cost through standardization and increase revenue in a short period of time.”

The medmont meridia is available from local distributors in North America and New Zealand, and directly from Medmont in Australia. For more information, visit www.medmont.com.
