Ziemer USA will showcase the Z8 Femtosecond laser with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) in wet labs at this year’s American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Chicago, October 27-30. Attendees can sign up on the Ziemer USA website for the Cataract Procedures wet lab or the Corneal Procedures wet lab.
“We’re excited to offer these wet lab opportunities during AAO so doctors can experience first-hand femtosecond lasers for corneal or cataract procedures,” David Bragg, President of Ziemer USA, said in a company news release. “We think doctors will be amazed by how the Z8’s converging micro spots create pristine incisions, and a cleaner, smoother procedure.
The Ziemer Femtosecond laser features overlapping micro pulses that create precise incisions without “tissue bridges.” The low energy pulses protect tissue and shorten recovery time.
The wet labs are scheduled between 9:15 am to 4:15 pm in the Ziemer booth #1056. Each session lasts about 30 minutes and features Ziemer technicians standing by to answer questions.
