The ASCRS Opening General Session – Saturday, April 14 – will note the 2018 Honored Guest Awardees: R. Bruce Wallace, MD, and Richard Packard, MD, DO, FRCS, FRCOphth. Dr. Wallace is the founder and medical director of Wallace Eye Associates, Laser and Surgery Center in Alexandria, La. Mr. Packard is the senior consultant of Arnott Eye Associates in Marylebone, London.
The ASCRS Sunday Summit General Session – Sunday, April 15 – includes the Science, Medicine and Technology Lecture, which will be given by Jeff DeGraff. Mr. DeGraff will present “Innovation and the Future of Healthcare: How to Navigate the Challenges and Opportunities Successfully.” During his lecture, Mr. DeGraff will share his theories and practices in instilling the mindset needed to make innovation truly happen in any industry.
On Monday, April 16, Steve Charles, MD, will deliver the esteemed Charles D. Kelman, MD, Innovator’s Lecture. Dr. Charles is the world’s leading vitreoretinal surgeon and has developed many of the techniques and devices used by vitreoretinal surgeons worldwide. He has performed over 36,000 vitreoretinal surgeries, lectured in 50 countries and operated in 25, delivered 17 named lectures, and over 1000 speaking trips.
Registration is open for the ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meeting, which will be held in Washington, D.C., April 14-17. This is the only event in the United States dedicated to the needs of the anterior segment specialist.
