Ocutrx Vision Technologies, a California-based augmented reality (AR) glasses developer announced that Thomas A. Finley, MD, will serve as the Chairman of the Ocutrx International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB). The board serves to advise Ocutrx in its development of augmented reality glasses for medical use for helping patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and other visual field defects.
“Dr. Finley is an exceptional vitreoretinal surgeon and ophthalmic medical professional with a broad vision and perspective in the application of new technologies for improving patient outcomes,” Michael H. Freeman founder and CEO of Ocutrx, said in a company news release. “Most importantly, he is a proven administrator with powerful leadership skills; and we are honored to have him serve our IMAB team as chairman to help get our technology out to the medical community.”
