Tangible Science announced the launch of Unity BioSync contact lenses, which the company is describing as the first daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lens featuring a modified formula of the patented Tangible Hydra-PEG polymer technology that is bonded to the surface of the lens. Co-developed by Tangible Science and VSP Optics, Unity BioSync contact lenses feature HydraMist technology and were unveiled last week at Vision Expo West.
The HydraMist technology featuring Tangible’s proprietary polymer was developed specifically for silicone hydrogel contact lenses. It is designed to attach to the surface of Unity BioSync contact lenses for a full day of wear and improves lens hydration providing a durably comfortable experience for contact lens patients.

The launch of Unity BioSync with HydraMist adds to the breadth of available products utilizing Tangible Science’s proprietary polymer technology. This includes the SimplifEyes 1-Day hydrogel lens, which launched in 2018 in partnership with SynergEyes; the Tangible Hydra-PEG coating, available on most gas permeable and hybrid custom lens materials; and Tangible Clean, a multi-purpose cleaning solution for gas permeable lenses.
