Oculus Names New Medical Director

Oculus has announced that William Tullo, OD, FAAO, joined the company as a Medical Director on November 2nd, 2020. In this newly developed role, Dr. Tullo will provide clinical guidance and educate medical eye professionals on Oculus diagnostic devices. He will also work closely with the leadership team to align goals and strategies with the mission and vision of the organization.

“I met Dr. Tullo soon after relocating from the Oculus Headquarters in Germany to the U.S. office near Seattle. Over the years, we have worked on several projects and initiatives, and a friendship was forged. I am more than excited to have Dr. Tullo on our team; his expertise will be very valuable for the future of Oculus in the U.S.,” Michael Wolber, President and CEO of Oculus, Inc., said in a company news release.

Dr. Tullo, a native of Princeton, New Jersey, will continue to see patients at his private practice that he has maintained for over 3 decades. He received his B.S. in Biology degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his Doctorate in Optometry degree from the State of New York College of Optometry. In addition, Dr. Tullo is also involved in many professional organizations. He is a Diplomate Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry’s Cornea Contact Lens & Refractive technology section, and a member of the American Optometric Association since 1984.
