New Joystick for the Keratograph 5M With Release Function

The Oculus Keratograph 5M now comes equipped with a new joystick, which includes a release function. The new feature enables the user to capture images and video sequences with the  push of a button on the device. No need any more to switch to the mouse – the user’s hand stays resting on the new joystick.

The new joystick is wireless, communicating with the Keratograph software via Bluetooth. Oculus has also dispensed with an involved power supply cabling setup inside the xy-base, making it easier to retrofit existing systems.

The joystick is powered by two standard AA batteries that can be replaced by the user. Its sleep mode function is activated automatically after a short period of idleness, minimizing power consumption.

Begining this month, all new Oculus Keratograph 5M units will be delivered with the new joystick as a standard feature. Customers who already have a Keratograph 5M can order the new joystick as a retrofit and install it themselves easily.

The Oculus Keratograph 5M is a multi-purpose topographer that captures the shape of the cornea across its entire surface using thousands of measuring points. The Keratograph 5M contains features that enable you to perfect your image documentation such as a high-resolution colour camera and different illumination options. It generates images and videos that can aid you in educating your patients more effectively than would be possible just with words.
