Matterhackers, a provider of 3D printing solutions, is looking for medical professionals or government agencies in need of emergency equipment for COVID-19 treatment.
The company has engaged thousands in their 3D printing community–both at-home 3D printing providers as well as larger corporate printers–to help make protective equipment like face shields and door handle covers using 3D printing. These items are available to healthcare workers free of charge.
Health care workers who are in need of protective equipment are asked to fill out the form found here. Matterhackers is only able to facilitate US-based requests at this time.
One the company ‘s website, it stated, “During these unprecedented times, MatterHackers is able to leverage our community of professional engineers and designers ready and willing to volunteer their time and expertise to activate thousands of idle 3D printers, laser cutters, and other fabrication equipment across the country. We also have a stable supply chain of American-made filament, with CA and PA warehouses ready to provide free shipping and logistics. We’ve got your back – the 3D printing community was built for this!”
