NVISION Eye Centers, one of the premier providers of LASIK and cataract surgery in the country, today announced that Dr. Sheri Rowen will join the NVISION family of eye centers supporting its Newport Beach and Fullerton, Calif. centers.
“With a reputation for quality eye care, Dr. Rowen is a pioneer in the field of ophthalmology,” said James Pereyra, president of NVISION. “Her philosophy for patient care perfectly aligns with our mission at NVISION. We are thrilled that she is joining our Orange County team.”
For years, Dr. Rowen led a highly successful practice in Maryland, ROWEN Vision & Cosmetic Center, and was the director of ophthalmology at Baltimore’s Mercy Medical Center. Prior to that, Dr. Rowen completed a two-year research fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital’s prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute, where she also completed her surgical internship. Dr. Rowen earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the same university from which she earned her undergraduate degree, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors. As an undergraduate, Dr. Rowen served as a research assistant for the National Institute of Health at the National Cancer Institute.
“While having the most cutting-edge technology in the industry is fabulous, it’s truly the culture and environment of NVISION Eye Centers that sets the organization apart,” says Dr. Rowen. “I’m proud to join this team of acclaimed surgeons and staff who truly love and care about their patients and provide them with the best service available.”
