BVI announced the extension of its Malosa range of single-use ophthalmic instruments in the US. The US Malosa portfolio will now include specialty instruments for use in corneal refractive surgery, complementing the existing single-use product range for cataract, oculoplastic, and office-based procedures, such as LASIK, PRK and SMILE.

“We are excited to bring the Malosa refractive instrument range to the US, complementing the current US Malosa portfolio,” Darin Dixon, VP of US Sales for BVI, said in a company news release. “We know that ophthalmic surgeons have an extremely high bar for quality and precision, and by expanding our existing single-use Malosa portfolio, we have a best in class solution for cataract, oculoplastic, and now, refractive procedures. The Malosa range offers US surgeons a single-use option eliminating the operational inconsistency sometimes found with reusable instruments. Based on the work we have done with leading ophthalmic surgeons across the world, we are confident that these instruments will exceed expectations.”
