Mark Rosenberg has joined BSM Consulting as a Senior Consultant, responsible for developing new business opportunities while assisting in meeting the needs of the company’s expanding customer base, according to the health care consulting firm.
“Mark brings more than 25 years of experience in business strategy, management, development, and implementation from the ophthalmology industry,” said Bruce Maller in a company news release. “His deep understanding of what our customers need will be a huge asset to our team and allow us to expand the depth of our client services.”
In his role at BSM, Rosenberg will consult with practices in the areas of strategic planning, practice operations, business development, capital projects, organizational processes, contract negotiations, and team building.
Prior to joining BSM, Rosenberg was the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for American Vision Partners (AVP), a role he took after serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center (BDP) for more than 20 years.
Under his leadership, BDP expanded from 79 employees to 620 employees, including 50 doctors. In March 2017, Rosenberg facilitated the largest regional private equity investment between BDP and Southwestern Eye Center, creating AVP with more than 40 clinic locations, 23 ambulatory surgery centers, 1,100 employees, and 100 doctors.
In June 2017, Rosenberg was appointed Board Vice Chairman of AVP. He focused on developing strategies to grow the organization, building and incorporating new technologies, and ensuring AVP led the industry in delivering a best-in-class patient experience.
